Automated guided vehicle (AGV) manufacturers build everything from parts carts to automated forklifts and heavy-load carriers. This guide profiles nine makers with documented vehicles and explains when battery selection becomes a separate project for an OEM, integrator or fleet buyer.

What Is an AGV, and How Is It Different From an AMR?
An AGV is a driverless vehicle moving parts or pallets through a facility: think of a cart delivering components to an assembly line. AGVs generally follow planned routes; autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) can adjust routes more independently. Commercial labels overlap, and some companies offer both. An automated forklift can also be part of a guided-vehicle system.
How We Selected These AGV Manufacturers
Each company has an official source showing an automated transport vehicle. Parent groups and brands are identified together. The order is editorial, not a ranking by sales or market share. Published battery details refer to the manufacturer’s vehicle; they do not establish third-party pack compatibility. SAFTEC publishes this guide as a battery pack manufacturer, not an AGV vehicle maker.
Leading AGV Manufacturers and Their Vehicles
Daifuku — Factory Transport Systems
Daifuku offers guided vehicles and carts for manufacturing, from compact SmartCart systems to heavy-duty transport. A parts cart and heavy carrier have different power demands. Daifuku also describes D-PAD wireless charging for AGV and AMR applications; check its availability for the specific vehicle. www.daifuku.com
Toyota Material Handling — Automated Forklifts and Carts
Toyota offers automated guided forklifts and Mouse and Mole guided carts for tasks ranging from pallet movement to repeated station deliveries. “Toyota AGV” therefore describes multiple vehicles, not one battery format. Identify the model and approved power system before considering replacement. www.toyotaforklift.com
Dematic (KION Group) — Warehouse AGV Systems
Dematic supplies AGVs for warehouses, distribution centers and manufacturing. It belongs to KION Group, alongside Linde Material Handling. We identify the group relationship rather than counting its brands as unrelated manufacturers. Dematic’s vehicles form part of wider warehouse automation systems. www.dematic.com
Jungheinrich — Automated Industrial Trucks
Jungheinrich develops AGVs based on industrial truck platforms, including vehicles for automatic pallet transport and stacking. Lifting demand, truck controls and battery weight can matter more than they do in a small transport cart. Assess power requirements for the specific truck. www.jungheinrich.com
SIASUN — Industrial Mobile Transport
SIASUN offers standardized and customized mobile transport equipment, including forklift-type AGVs used in industrial production. Such vehicles may be designed around unusual loads and transfer points. A published payload rating should not be mistaken for a battery or charging specification. en.siasun.com
E80 Group — AGV and Laser-Guided Vehicles
E80 Group develops AGV and laser-guided vehicle (LGV) systems. It specifies Flash Battery lithium technology and induction charging for its vehicles. The battery and charger form part of an established system; no third-party replacement can be inferred from the vehicle’s voltage alone. www.e80group.com
NEURA Mobile Robots — AGV Transport Robotics
NEURA Mobile Robots develops guided transport systems for industrial loads. Older lists call it ek robotics; in October 2026, the company brought that AGV brand under the NEURA Mobile Robots name. Buyers should use the current name when checking products and support. ek-robotics.com
DS Automotion — Automated Stackers and Custom Vehicles
DS Automotion develops AGVs and custom transport vehicles. Published AMADEUS stacker variants list automatic charging and, in some configurations, Li-NMC or lead-gel batteries. “Lithium” does not necessarily mean LiFePO4; a proposal must refer to the exact vehicle variant. www.ds-automotion.com
Oceaneering Mobile Robotics — Autonomous Forklifts
Oceaneering Mobile Robotics offers AGV and AMR systems, including the MaxMover counterbalance forklift and UniMover underride vehicles. Its US-based portfolio shows an overlap between guided and autonomous product labels. The MaxMover product page does not specify battery chemistry, so buyers should ask for model-specific power data. Where a Custom AGV Battery Fits
Battery sourcing differs by project. An AGV manufacturer developing a new platform can specify the pack and charging interface early. An integrator may source batteries for its own design. An existing fleet requires the vehicle maker’s technical requirements and approval path before a replacement is proposed.
Pack space, runtime, discharge current, vehicle communication and charging-dock behavior affect the final design. Automated forklifts may also have minimum battery-weight requirements. Matching voltage alone proves little about compatibility.
Public specifications need careful reading. If an AGV maker names its battery partner or charging technology, that is evidence of an integrated design, not evidence that any replacement pack will fit. If the chemistry is not published, the article should say so rather than guess. This distinction matters to both equipment buyers and battery engineers.
SAFTEC offers configurable AGV LiFePO4 battery packs for suitable B2B projects. For automated forklifts, see our lithium forklift battery solutions. These products are not claimed as approved for every brand above.
Discuss an AGV Battery Project With SAFTEC
If you build AGVs, integrate equipment or source batteries for a fleet, tell SAFTEC the vehicle application, whether it is a new design or replacement, the destination market and approximate quantity. Add the model or voltage if known. We can discuss a LiFePO4 solution, then confirm the specifications needed for a proposal. Explore our custom AGV battery options.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can we request a sample before bulk AGV battery production?
For suitable projects, SAFTEC can discuss a sample or pilot order. Configuration, cost, testing and the expected follow-up quantity should be agreed during quotation.
Can AGV battery packs carry our OEM brand?
Branding and packaging requirements can be discussed for OEM and distributor projects. Confirm labels, manuals and packaging details in the approved specification.
What export documents can SAFTEC provide for AGV batteries?
Available documents depend on the battery model, order and destination. Request the applicable transport and product documents for the exact pack being quoted.
How are warranty terms set for a custom AGV battery?
Warranty terms and technical support should be agreed for the specified pack, application and order before production. For private-label projects, also clarify who handles end-customer claims.
