How to Use the Calculator
- Select the battery voltage from the dropdown menu. If you choose Custom, a Custom Voltage field will appear—this value is required for calculation.
- Enter the battery capacity in Ah, the load power in watts, system efficiency (%) and depth of discharge (%).
- Click Calculate to display the results on the right panel.
- Click Reset to clear all fields and start a new calculation.

Calculation Steps
- Capture Battery Specifications
- Collect battery voltage, capacity, and chemistry (if applicable).
- Define Load Profile
- Enter the total load power (W) for the devices you want to back up.
- Compute Stored Energy
- The calculator estimates usable energy based on battery voltage × capacity × depth of discharge × system efficiency.
- Estimate Backup Time
- Backup Time (hours) = Usable Energy ÷ Load Power
- Backup Time (minutes) = Backup Time (hours) × 60
- Display Results
- Results panel shows:
